Since April 1996 when The Havelock
Tavern was re-opened as a gastropub, it has been under the same ownership/management
team.
Unlike many gastropubs, which are really
restaurants in old pub buildings, The Havelock is still run very much as
a pub - but with the good food. Consequently, we never take bookings and
only accept cash and cheques.
The atmosphere is lively and informal.
A good place to spend a relaxed evening over a meal with friends or to
have a quick bite to eat before or after a trip to the cinema perhaps.
The pub is located (see map) in the
quiet residential area of Brook Green on the corner of Masbro and Irving
roads. The nearest tube stations are Shepherd's Bush (central line), Hammersmith,
Goldhawk Road and Olympia, which also has British rail services. By car
the pub is only five minutes from both the A40 and A4 for those who may
be coming from further afield.
